Lynn M. LaValley, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2003. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. Lynn’s clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders including: articulation, phonology, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, and augmentative and alternative communication. She has worked with a diverse population of children and adults within the clinical and residential settings, as well private and public schools. Lynn has a great deal of experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, Angelmans’ Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Lynn is a member of a special interest group which focuses on Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and is PROMPT trained. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and from the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Since opening Therapy for Language and Communication in September, 2013, Lynn has been awarded Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Speech Pathology, as well as 2014 Best of Wallingford Awards for Speech Pathologist. Lynn has become a guest blogger for Advance for Speech-Language Pathologists, and will soon be providing consultation services for evaluations at Yale University’s Child Study Center.

Maureen Lagasse, M.S., CCC-SLP, received a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Pathology from Ithaca College and a Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University. Maureen has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Hamden Public School, New Haven Public School, Meriden Public School, North Haven Public School, Independent Day School, High Road School and Benhaven School. She has many years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of disorders of language, articulation, phonology, childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, pragmatics, voice, and traumatic brain injury. She is PROMPT trained and holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Connecticut Department of Public Education as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Maureen has been working at TLC since 2014.
Sarah A. Obremski, M.S. CCC-SLP, began working in the field of speech-language pathology in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College. She has worked with a diverse population of children primarily in the Birth to Three setting. Sarah’s clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of mild to severe speech and language disorders as well as parent and family counseling. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy,Traumatic Brain Injury, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech, as well as a wide variety of phonological, articulation, pragmatic, and receptive and expressive language disorders. Sarah holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Kathryn Karsky received her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from New York University in 2024. Prior to graduating, Kathryn had the pleasure of working for 7 years as a school based Speech Language Pathology Assistant working with elementary aged students with complex communication and language needs. Kathryn’s clinical experience includes treating and evaluating receptive & expressive language, social communication, articulation, and high, mid, and low tech AAC users. She has worked with a diverse population of children within private special education schools and clinical settings. Kathryn’s passion in the field of speech pathology includes early intervention with a focus on supporting language and communication in a child’s everyday environments. In her spare time she loves reading, spending time with her dog, and spending time in the garden.
